Q: How do I search for rentals?

A: You can search for rentals directly from the main homepage or from the homepage of the specific category you are looking for. Follow these 4 easy steps:

Step 1: Choose your category (Motorhomes, Trailers, etc.)
Step 2: Choose the type or types of each rental you are interested in. You can select more than one.
Step 3: Enter your trip information – you can search by city, state, county, and even zip code.
Step 4: Click on the “Begin Search” button

Q: How many rental listings should I inquire to?

A: We recommend you inquire to multiple listings for comparison purposes and in the event your first choice is not available for the dates you require. Also, if an owner is late in responding to your request, this will ensure the highest chance of you confirming a rental. If you don’t hear back from the owner within 24 – 48 hours, we recommend you contact the owner directly by phone if a number is provided.

Q: How do I make a reservation?

A: At the bottom of every specific rental listing page is a form which you can fill out to contact the owner and inquire about availability and confirm a reservation. Each owner has his/her own reservation and booking confirmation process. When making your reservation, cover all the details of the listing and your planned trip with the owner, including your travel dates, number of people in your party, any specific needs and requests you might have, etc. The owner should send you a written rental agreement as confirmation of the booking. Be sure to review the agreement to ensure all the details you discussed are correct and also cover the cancellation/refund policies.

Q: What is the best way to pay for a rental?

A: There are many different methods of paying for a rental, but some are safer than others. These methods vary from owner to owner, so be sure to always inquire beforehand. Rentzio recommends the following methods for payment:
  1. Credit card – this is always the preferred method
  2. PayPal (funded by PayPal)
  3. Personal check
If an owner or rental company demands payment by Western Union, wire transfer or cashier’s check, pay at your own risk. You have little recourse when you pay with cash.

Q: How are cancellations and refunds handled?

A: Cancellation and refund policies vary by owner and Rental Company. Always review the written rental agreement before you sign and ask questions if you have concerns. Cancellations due to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances may not be permitted so be sure to get clarification up front.
